About the game
Lokomotiv’s netminder Daniil Isayev posted his tenth career shutout as the Railwaymen got away with a win exactly when they needed one – with CSKA up three games to one and Lokomotiv on the verge of being eliminated. It was a busy night for Isayev, that included an altercation with CSKA forward Anton Slepyshev, but that ultimately gave Lokomotiv yet another chance as the series continues. Young forward Maxim Beryozkin netted the game winner in the closing frame, while a late penalty on Darren Dietz removed for CSKA the chance to pull Adam Riederborn for a sixth skater.
Lokomotiv’s goalie Daniil Isayev is on a 76:05 shutout streak.
