Power Rankings are an indicator mathematically calculated basing on the team's performance in the season. The teams started with the same points, and for each regulation win, each side will "steal" the other 25% of its points. In case of an OT or SO win, the loot will drop to 12.5%. Thus, the Power Rankings will indicate what teams are on the run, are defeating their direct competitors, and having winning streaks.
