CSKA and Dynamo clash again!

Preview
The Moscow derby between CSKA and Dynamo Moscow is set to take place tonight, and it promises to be an exciting match. These two teams have a fierce local rivalry, and earlier in the season, CSKA won twice, while the Blue-and-Whites managed to get one victory. This means that Dynamo will be looking to tie the series and return to the top four in the West to secure home ice advantage, especially as Torpedo faces SKA in the meantime. One player to watch out for on Dynamo’s side is their goalie, Konstantin Volkov, who is currently on a 115-minute shutout streak. This is an impressive accomplishment, and it will be interesting to see if he can continue his streak should he play tonight.

Dynamo will come into this match with a lot of confidence, knowing that they have already defeated CSKA once this season. The Blue-and-Whites will be looking to replicate that performance and come out with a win. On the other hand, CSKA will be looking to prove that their earlier wins were no fluke and that they are the better team. It should be a close match with both teams giving it their all.

However, the KHL matchday starts with the eighth – and last – clash of the season between Amur and Admiral. The Tigers have the upper hand in the series, but the Sailors are higher in the standings and, most importantly, they have a ten-point advantage over the playoffs line in the Eastern Conference. Playoffs places will be also up for grabs in the Yekaterinburg game, where ninth seed Barys faces the hosts, who just lost the first place in the Eastern standings to Sibir.

The action then moves to the West, with SKA traveling to Nizhny Novgorod and yet another Moscow Derby on tap for tonight.
