Due to injuries, defenseman Ryan Murphy (Salavat Yulaev, Chernyshev Division), forward Eric O’Dell (Dynamo Moscow, Tarasov Division), and Alexander Radulov (Ak Bars, Kharlamov Division) won’t be able to participate in the 2022 Fonbet KHL All-Star Game on Dec 10-11 in Chelyabinsk.
They will be replaced by Alexei Bereglazov (Avangard, Chernyshev Division), Parker Foo (Kunlun Red Star, Tarasov Division), and Ilya Safonov (Ak Bars, Kharlamov Division).
Bereglazov is at his second All-Star appearance, as he already skated at the 2018 All-Star Game in Astana, when he replaced Chris Lee, out with an injury. Bereglazov is the Hawks’ top-scoring defenseman, with 19 (6+13) points.
Foo and Safonov will be at their first appearance. Safonov has now emerged as Ak Bars’ captain, and is the team’s third scorer with 19 (11+8) points, while Foo has produced 18 (8+10) points for the Dragons.
