Best Players of the 2022-2023 tenth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the Regular Season’s tenth week in four categories.

Last week, the League’s teams played 27 games, with 516 players (33 goalies, 173 defensemen, and 310 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 4.89 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the first time in his career was Daniil Isayev (Lokomotiv), who won two matches from two last week. The Lokomotiv netminder faced 52 shots, or 26 per night, posting a saves percentage of 98.08% and a 0.50 goals-against average. He also posted a shutout against Torpedo.

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Joseph Duszak (Dinamo Minsk), who scored 4 (2+2) points in three games last week. The defenseman posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-1 differential. In the Sunday game against HC Sochi, Duszak potted the game-winner, and also recorded three hits, blocked two shots, and had one takeaway this week.

- Best forward for the second time in his career was Vladimir Tkachyov (Avangard), who scored 6 (1+5) points in three games last week. Tkachyov also recorded six hits, blocked three shots, and had two takeaways. The Hawks’ forward was awarded forward of the week honors for the first time in the 2019-2020 nineteenth week. Also his Traktor’s namesake Vladimir Tkachyov was awarded forward of the week twice.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was forward Ilya Ivantsov (Severstal), who scored 2 (1+1) points in two games last week, ending with a plus-2 differential. In the game against HC Sochi, Ivantsov netted his first KHL goal.
