presents the finalists for the Goled Stick award – the trophy for the most valuable player of the 2021-2022 KHL regular season.

The Golden Stick award recipient is determined by a vote among all the Kontinental Hockey League head coaches. SKA’s forwards Anton Burdasov and Andrei Kuzmenko, and Dynamo’s forward Vadim Shipachyov are the three finalists for the 2021-2022 edition.

Anton Burdasov (SKA)

41 GP, 42 (23+19) points, +9

Last season, Anton Burdasov broke the marks of 300 points and 600 KHL games. He finished the regular season with a record 23 tallies for the second straight season and set a new personal best for points in the 2021-2022 season with 42.

Andrei Kuzmenko (SKA)

45 GP, 53 (20+33) points, +15

In the 2021-2022 season, Andrei Kuzmenko scored his 200th point in the KHL and netted his 100th goal. He updated his personal bests for points in both the regular season (53 vs. 37 in 2020-2021) and playoffs (14 vs. 6 in 2020-2021).

Vadim Shipachyov (Dynamo Moscow)

48 GP, 67 (24+43) points, +1

Vadim Shipachyov became the first player to become the regular season’s top scorer three years in a row. He was also the sole leader in the league’s list of top passers last term.

Alexander Radulov, Sergei Mozyakin (both four times), Danis Zaripov, Nikita Gusev, Vadim Shipachyov, and Dmitrij Jaskin have won this award in the past.

The Closing Ceremony for the 2021-2022 season will be held on May 19, 2022.
