The Women’s Hockey League final will take place after the end of the Women’s World Championship, which is due to be played in Canada from May 6-16.
A few days before the series was due to start on March 13, several Agidel players tested positive for COVID-19. The league decided to postpone the season’s climax. Subsequent PCR tests confirmed those initial positive results.
Due to the need for Agidel’s players to enter quarantine, and the subsequent start of preparations for the upcoming World Championship, the WHL Grand Final will be delayed as the clubs in our league release their players for international duty.
The WHL’s directors will consult with everyone involved in the final before deciding on a new schedule for the final series. Those dates will be announced in due course.
