The game between Kunlun Red Star and Lokomotiv, which was due to take place on Sep. 22, will not go ahead after the team from Yaroslavl failed to travel to Mytishchi.

Before the season began, every club in the KHL was informed that, due to the current pandemic, they needed to plan ahead to ensure they could fulfil their fixtures. Postponements were to be regarded as last resort when circumstances prevented the game from going ahead as scheduled.

The game between Kunlun and Lokomotiv was put back from Sep. 21 to Sep. 22 to give the clubs time to resolve their organizational issues.

In connection with the above and in accordance with Article 15, paragraph 29 of the KHL’s disciplinary regulations, Lokomotiv will forfeit this game. Kunlun Red Star is awarded a walkover victory. The KHL will confirm the status of Loko’s upcoming games later.

In addition, there are discrepancies between the COVID-19 test results carried out independently by Lokomotiv and carried out in the KHL’s laboratories.
