The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the ninth week of the Regular Season in four categories, including Nov. 4 games.

- best goalie was Timur Bilyalov (Ak Bars), who had two shutout wins in three games last week. In the Saturday loss against Neftekhimik, the Kazan goalie replaced Adam Reideborn after the second intermission and didn’t allow goals. In three games, Bilyalov stopped 47 shots. The shutout against Severstal in Cherepovets was his fifth of the season – the goalie now leads the League in this stat. Bilyalov’s shutout streak is now at 222 minutes and 52 seconds.

- best defenseman was Andrei Pedan (Ak Bars), who won three from four matches with his team last week, including one road game, scoring 3 (1+2) points. The Kazan blueliner posted no negative ratings, ended the week plus-5. He also netted the game-winning goal against Amur. Pedan had 12 shots on goal and recorded five hits.

- best forward was Denis Vikharev (Admiral), who posted 6 (5+1) points in four away games with his team last week, ending the stint with a plus-2 rating. The Vladivostok forward scored points in three from four matches. Vikharev posted doubles against Lokomotiv (including the game-winning goal) and Neftekhimik, other than scoring the game-winner against Spartak. Last week’s five goals allowed Vikarev to set his personal record in the KHL, and with 11 goals he’s now the third-best scorer in the League.

- best rookie was defenseman Danila Galenyuk (SKA), who won three from four games with his team last week (including two road matches). The St. Petersburg blueliner posted no negative ratings, ending the week plus-2, and posted a pair of helpers. Galenyuk also had 5 shots on goal, recorded 4 hits, and blocked 2 shots from the opposition. The 19-years-old defenseman had an average time on ice of 12 minutes and 48 seconds.
