The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best player of the playoffs’ final round in three categories.

- best goalie was Ilya Sorokin (CSKA), who won all the four games in the series against Avangard, including two shutouts. The Red Army goalie had a saves percentage of 96.40% with a goals-against average of 0.93. Sorokin’s longest shutout streak was 137 minutes and 55 seconds, a record for the Gagarin Cup finals.

- best defenseman was Mat Robinson (CSKA), who posted two helpers in the final round, with a plus-7 rating (best result among all the Finals’ participants). The veteran defenseman logged an average time on ice of 24 minutes and 46 seconds.

- best forward was Mikhail Grigorenko (CSKA), who scored 6 (5+1) points in the four-game series against Avangard (best result among all the Finals’ participants). The forward scored in three games and was the author of the first-ever Gagarin Cup finals’ hat-trick (in the first game of the series, including the game-winning goal).

- no rookies were awarded with best rookie nomination in the Conference Finals.
