Seven KHL officials made it to the final list: four referees, Martin Frano, Roman Gofman, Evgeny Romasko, and Maxim Sidorenko; and three linesmen, Dmitry Golyak, Gleb Lazarev, and Dmitry Shishlo. The 2019 IIHF World Championship plays from May 10-26 in Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia.
Moreover, the referee Yury Oskirko will work at the World Championship Division IA from April 29 to May 5 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
“Being selected by the IIHF is always pleasant. We keep on having a leading position and, hopefully, we will work in the most important games. Evgeny Romasko and Maxim Sidorenko did a tremendous job at the recent World Junior Championship, and this is the basis for the call to the senior tournament. I also want to highlight that Yury Oskirko will call the Division IA tournament in Astana, where the battles will be even more fierce as the teams fight for a spot in the elite group. In Slovakia, Dmitry Shishlo will have his debut, and today he will work at his 200th KHL game. These officials show a high level, which corresponds at the top 10-15 in the League. We hope that working in the playoffs they will gather energy and confidence,” the KHL head referee Alexei Anisimov says.
