Dynamo Moscow has agreed two-year contracts with a pair of famous forwards: Vadim Shipachyov (1987), the Olympic, World, and two-time Gagarin Cup champion who returned to SKA last season after his move to the Vegas Golden Knights went awry, and his fellow World Championship gold medalist, Maxim Afinogenov (1979), formerly of the Buffalo Sabres and Atlanta Thrashers. Also joining Dynamo, but on a one-year deal, is another Russian international, ex-Severstal and Donbass forward Dmitry Kagarlitsky (1989).
Defenseman Yaroslav Dyblenko (1993), recently with the Binghamton Devils in the AHL, and previously with Spartak and Atlant in the KHL, has signed a four-year contract with SKA Saint Petersburg.
Avtomobilist has agreed a one-year deal with ex-Spartak defenseman Kirill Ablayev (1996).
Ex-Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Lada Togliatti forward Anton Shenfeld (1993) has signed a two-year contract with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.
Two Czech Republic internationals – defenseman Ondrej Vitasek (1990), who spent his debut season in the KHL last year at Ugra, and former Washington Capitals defenseman Tomas Kundratek (1989) – have each agreed a one-year deal with Kunlun Red Star.
Toronto-born Italian defenseman Mathew Maione (1990), who spent the 2017-18 season in Finland with KalPa, has joined Dinamo Riga on a one-year contract.
Russian international forward Anton Glinkin (1988) has returned to Traktor Chelyabinsk on a two-year deal, after spending the past two seasons with Ak Bars.
CSKA and Avangard agreed a trade in which forward Kirill Petrov (1990) moves to Omsk while the Moscow Army Men receive the rights to Swedish forward Filip Karlsson. Joining Petrov at Avangard, on a two-year contract, is goaltender Igor Bobkov (1991), once of the Anaheim Ducks, but who spent the past three seasons at Admiral.
Former Avtomobilist, Salavat Yulaev, Avangard, Ak Bars and CSKA defenseman Denis Kulyash (1983) has signed a one-year contract with Severstal.
