In response to further requests for clarification, the KHL Refereeing Department has released the video evidence to dispel confusion over two more controversial episodes, one from Tuesday's match in Yaroslavl, Game 4 of the Western Conference semi-final series between Lokomotiv and SKA Saint Petersburg, and the other from Tuesday's match in Chelyabinsk, Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semi-final series between Traktor and Salavat Yulaev Ufa.
In the 16th minute of the match in Yaroslavl, a Petersburg player raised his stick to chest height and deflected a shot into the net. As the footage shows, the player's stick made contact with the puck at a position higher than the level of the crossbar, and therefore the officials were correct in not awarding the goal.
In the 43rd minute of the game in Chelyabinsk, after Salavat Yulaev forward Mikhail Yunkov had scored the Ufa Men's first goal of the night, there was a pause while the video goal judge examined footage of the episode to determine whether the puck had been directed into the net by a skate. The video evidence shows no contact between puck and skate, and therefore, the officials were correct in awarding the goal.
