The KHL Disciplinary Committee has investigated some incidents from Monday’s games in the Western Conference semi-finals, and two players have been handed disqualifications as a result.

In the 43rd minute of the match in Yaroslavl between Lokomotiv and SKA Saint Petersburg, visiting forward Sergei Plotnikov (No. 16) was given a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for causing injury by checking to the head and neck area. After reviewing the episode, the Committee supported the referee's decision, and ruled that Plotnikov must pay a fine and serve a two-game suspension.

In the 48th minute of the match in Helsinki between Jokerit and CSKA, home defenseman Jesper B. Jensen (No. 44) was sent to the locker room, also for causing injury by checking to the head and neck area. After reviewing this episode, the Committee upheld the decision. The major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) remains in force, and Jensen must pay a fine and serve a one-game suspension.
