Two players face an enforced absence from the ice after falling foul of the KHL Disciplinary Regulations concerning repeat offending.
In the 59th minute of Thursday's match in Novosibirsk between Sibir and Barys Astana, visiting forward Konstantin Pushkaryov was given a major penalty (5 minutes) for fisticuffs.
This was the third time this season that the player has been penalised for being the instigator or aggressor in a brawl, and as a result, Pushkaryov automatically incurs a fine and a one-game suspension.
The previous evening, in the 7th minute of the match in Riga between Dinamo and Traktor Chelyabinsk, home team forward Brandon McMillan received a minor plus misconduct penalty (2+10 minutes) for tripping. This was the Canadian's third 10-minute penalty of the current season, and consequently, he also must pay a fine and serve an automatic one-game suspension.
