Incidents from two of Monday's games in the Championship have resulted in two players being disqualified for one game.
In the 51st minute of the match in Podolsk between Vityaz Moscow Region and Dinamo Minsk, visiting goaltender Jhonas Enroth was given a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for causing injury by checking to the head and neck area. After reviewing the episode, the Committee supported the referee's decision, and ruled that Enroth must pay a fine and serve a one-game suspension.
In the 34th minute of the match in Moscow between Spartak and Barys Astana, visiting forward Konstantin Pushkaryov was handed a major penalty (5 minutes) for fisticuffs. As this was the second time this season the player had earned a 5-miute penalty for fighting, he falls foul of the KHL Regulations regarding repeat offending, and as a result, Pushkaryov receives a fine and an automatic one-game suspension.
