CSKA defenseman Andrei Yermakov has moved to Torpedo in exchange for financial compensation. The 23-year-old, who won the Gagarin Cup in 2015 with SKA Saint Petersburg, has signed a one-year deal with the Nizhny Novgorod club.
Former San Jose Sharks forward Lukas Kaspar returns to Slovan Bratislava after a year with Dynamo Moscow. The 31-year-old, a World Championship gold medalist with the Czech Republic in 2010, is joined by his compatriot, 27-year-old forward Jan Buchtele, who spent the 2016-17 season with Avtomobilist, and a Slovak, 25-year-old forward Tomas Hrnka, who spent the previous season at HC Plzen in the Czech Republic. All three players have signed up for one season
Dinamo Riga has brought in former Colorado Avalanche, San Jose Sharks, Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets forward Terry Galiardi on a one-year-deal. The 29-year-old USA international amassed a total of 341 NHL appearances (45 goals, 64 assists) in seven NHL seasons, before crossing the Atlantic to spend the 2015-16 campaign in Sweden with the Malmo Redhawks and the 2016-17 season in the KHL, first with Medvescak and then Neftekhimik.
Kunlun Red Star has welcomed three more Canadians: 27-year-old defenseman Jason Yee on a two-year contract, 20-year-old forward Chris Seto on a three-year deal, and finally, 23-year-old defenseman Nick Lee, who has signed up for one year.
