Avangard forward Vladimir Sobotka has had to withdraw from this weekend’s All-Star Game in Ufa as a result of the injury he sustained during Wednesday’s match in the KHL Championship against Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
His place in the Chernyshev Division roster goes to Salavat Yulaev forward Enver Lisin, thus making up a trio of Ufa attackers who will be performing on home ice. Sobotka’s №17 jersey has been passed to Lisin’s team-mate, Kirill Kaprizov, while Lisin will don the №7, so that both attackers will keep the numbers they wear while playing for the Ufa men.
The Chernyshev Division line-up is now as follows:
Goaltender: Igor Bobkov (Admiral);
Defensemen: Evgeny Medvedev (Avangard), Zakhar Arzamastsev (Salavat Yulaev), Jan Kolar (Amur);
Forwards: Nigel Dawes (Barys), Chad Rau (Kunlun Red Star), Maxim Shalunov (Sibir), Linus Omark, Kirill Kaprizov and Enver Lisin (all - Salavat Yulaev);
In addition to the KHL’s finest, a place in each Division roster goes to each of the four best-performing juniors in the Youth Hockey League (YHL) Challenge Cup, which took place on Sunday, the 15th of January. The four winners are: Kirill Tsulygin (Tolpar), Anton Kovalyov (Omsk Hawks), Andrei Altiparmakyan (SKA-Silver Lions), and Pavel Podluboshnov (Red Army).
