Five more players have joind the KHL's Foreign Legion during a busy seven days on the transfer market.
Two of the new arrivals headed for Jokerit. The Finns have snapped up Danish international defenseman Oliver Lauridsen, 27, who made 16 appearances in the NHL with the Philadelphia Flyers before moving to Sweden for a spell with Frolunda. Joining him in Helsinki is another 27-year-old, American forward Brian O’Neill, who after 22 games in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils has been plying his trade in the AHL with Albany .
American defenseman Taylor Aronson is also swapping the AHL for the KHL. The 24-year-old, previously with the Milwaukee Admirals, has agreed a one-year deal with Lada.
And yet another player with AHL experience arrived during the week. 28-year-old American forward Bud Holloway has left the St Johns Icecaps and has enlisted with the Army Men of CSKA, for whom he has signed a two-year contract .
Finally, Finnish forward Tomi Sallinen, lately of Stockholm side Djurgardens, has also been tempted by a move to the East. The 27-year-old has joined Neftekhimik on a one-year deal.
