To mark the end of the twentieth week’s play of the eighth season of the Championship, the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.

Best goaltender, for the fourth time this season, was
Alexei Murygin (Lokomotiv), with one shutout in two victorious games on the road. Murygin allowed just a single goal and ended the week with a save percentage of 97.50 and a goals against average of 0.48;

Best defenseman was
Artyom Zemchyonok (Admiral), who finished with a plus in both his outings on the road, earning a +3 for the week, and also provided the assist for a game-winning goal;

Best forward was
Juhamatti Aaltonen (Jokerit), with 6 points (3+3) and a +4 from two victorious appearances. Aaltonen struck 8 shots in total and celebrated a brace against Metallurg Novokuznetsk;

Best rookie was last week’s winner, 21-year-old Avtomobilist goalie
Igor Ustinsky, who once again helped his team achieve two wins in two games, including one shutout victory. Ustinsky ended the week with a save percentage of 95.71 and a goals against average of 1.51.
