Following a request from the Refereeing Department, the KHL Disciplinary Committee has reviewed an episode from the 45th minute of Tuesday’s game in Zagreb between Medvescak and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, in which visiting defenseman Vadim Khomitsky needed treatment following a hit from home forward Andreas Jamtin. After reviewing the episode the Committee found Andreas Jamtin guilty of causing injury by checking to the head or neck area, for which he receives a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes). As this is Jamtin’s second 20-minute penalty of the current season, he incurs an automatic one-game suspension for repeat offending.
