Panin, Grigorenko banned for 1 game
Two incidents from Saturday’s games in the Championship have resulted in additional disciplinary measures being imposed by the League.
CSKA defenseman Grigory Panin was given a minor plus major plus misconduct penalty (2+5+10 minutes) for his part in the fighting which erupted in the 50th minute of the Army Men’s home game against Medvescak Zagreb. As the instigator of the brawl, Panin receives a one-game suspension.
In the 30th minute of the game in Ufa between Salavat Yulaev and Ak Bars Kazan, home forward Igor Grigorenko collided with visiting defenseman Marek Daloga. The hit went unpunished by the officials, but after viewing the evidence, the KHL Disciplinary Committee found Grigorenko guilty of illegal use of the knee and has suspended the Ufa man for one game.
