To mark the end of the tenth week’s play of the eighth season of the Championship, the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.

Best goaltender was
Alexander Salak (Sibir), who helped his team to three wins, including one shutout, from three games; recording a goals against average of 0.67 and a save percentage of 97.7;

Best defenseman was
Philip Larsen (Jokerit), with three appearances, two victories, 5 points (1+4) and 14 shots at goal. Larsen did not receive a single negative plus/minus in any game and earned a +5 for the week;

Best forward was
Mikelis Redlihs (Dinamo Riga), with 6 points (3+3), including a double against Jokerit, and a +3 for the week, helping the Riga men win three of their four games;

Best rookie was 19-year-old Severstal forward
Daniil Vovchenko, who was given three outings and ended the week with 3 points (2+1), a +1 and an average ice time of 15 minutes 27 seconds. Vovchenko’s goal against Dynamo Moscow sealed victory for the Cherepovets men.
