Visnovsky returns to Slovan
Veteran defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky is to return to Slovan Bratislava after three seasons with the New York Islanders. The 39-year-old Slovak has an impressive resume, including 495 points (128+367) from 883 NHL games in spells at Los Angeles, Edmonton, Anaheim and New York.
Visnovsky’s deal with Slovan, for whom he played during the 2012/13 NHL lockout, runs to the end of the current season, and his arrival makes him the League’s third oldest player, behind fellow defensemen Sergei Gusev (Avtomobilist) and Deron Quint (Traktor).
