Riha returns to Slovan
Slovan Bratislava has announced that Milos Riha has accepted an offer to become head coach. The Czech specialist has signed a one-year deal with the Slovak club.
The appointment marks a double homecoming for the 56-year-old: to Slovan, whom he coached in seasons 2001-02 and 2004-05 (guiding the Bratislava men to victory in the Slovak Championship on both occasions), and to the KHL, where he worked from 2008 to 2014 as head coach of Spartak, Atlant, SKA and Avangard.
Riha enjoyed a remarkable season in 2010-11 when in charge of Atlant, taking the Moscow Region team all the way to the Gagarin Cup Final.
