Nikolai Solovyov named as new Novokuznetsk boss
Veteran specialist Nikolai Solovyov has been appointed head coach of Metallurg Novokuznetsk, filling the vacancy created yesterday by the resignation of German Titov.
Solovyov led Severstal during the 2014-15 Championship (in September-October) and is returning to familiar territory in Novokuznetsk, where he was head coach from 2002 until 2005. His current deal is set to run to the end of the 2015-16 season.
Sergei Kotov, who worked with Solovyov at Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk, has also joined the Metallurg coaching staff.
