Players of the Week 23

To mark the end of the twenty-third week’s play of the seventh season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories. 

– Best goaltender was Andrei Gavrilov (HC Sochi), who made three appearances and helped his team record two victories and a shootout defeat, finishing the week with a save percentage of 96.88 and a goals against average of 0.96; 

– Best defenseman was Deron Quint (Traktor), with 2 points (0+2) from three games and a +4; 

– Best forward was Stephane Da Costa (CSKA), who in four outings added 10 points (5+5) to his account; 

– Best rookie was 20-year-old CSKA forward Maxim Mamin, with a haul of 4 points (2+2) from two games and an average ice time of 7 minutes 41 seconds.
