Plyushchev becomes chief referee
As part of the continuous modernization of the League’s structure, the management has appointed former Team Russia coach Vladimir Plyushchev as the new main referee of the Championship.
The veteran coach was chosen by KHL President Dmitry Chernyshenko on the advice of the Board of Directors.
Among Plyushchev’s responsibilities will be the monitoring of officials’ performance, implement any necessary improvements and the maintenance of the inspectors’ ratings of all the referees and linesmen, by which the finest officials are selected for duty in the Gagarin Cup play-offs.
