Players of the Week 20
To mark the end of the twentieth week’s play of the seventh season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.
– Best goaltender, for the second time this season, was Mikko Koskinen (SKA), with one shutout in two games, a save percentage of 98.51 and a goals against average of 0.48;
– Best defenseman was Igor Ozhiganov (Sibir), with two goals in two appearances and a +2;
– Best forward was Anton Slepyshev (Salavat Yulaev), with 4 points (2+2) from two outings and a +4 for the week;
– Best rookie was 19-year-old Atlant forward Vyacheslav Leshchenko, who recorded 2 points (1+1) in two games, ending the week with a +1.
