The Kontinental Hockey League has chosen the third lines for the 2015 All-Star Game, thus completing the selection process for teams East and West for the showcase event at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi on Sunday, the 25th of January.
The starting fives and goaltenders, chosen by the fans’ vote, are as follows:
Goalie: Alexander Yeryomenko (Dynamo Moscow); Defense: Nick Bailen (Dinamo Minsk) and Ryan Gunderson (Jokerit); Offense: Alexander Radulov (CSKA), Ilya Kovalchuk (SKA) and Steve Moses (Jokerit).
Goalie: Konstantin Barulin (Avangard); Defense: Kirill Koltsov (Salavat Yulaev) and Chris Lee (Metallurg Magnitogorsk); Offense: Sergei Mozyakin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), Danis Zaripov (Metallurg Magnitogorsk) and Sergei Kostitsyn (Ak Bars).
The second fives and goaltenders were selected by the accredited journalists:
Goalie: Stanislav Galimov (CSKA); Defense: Nikita Zaitsev (CSKA) and Andrei Mironov (Dynamo Moscow); Offense: Artemy Panarin (SKA), Jonathan Cheechoo (Dinamo Minsk) and Wojtek Wolski (Torpedo).
Goalie: Jakub Kovar (Avtomobilist); Defense: Patrik Hersley (Sibir) and Ilya Nikulin (Ak Bars); Offense: Denis Parshin (Avangard), Nigel Dawes (Barys) and Dmitry Kugryshev (Sibir).
Today the League added the third lines, comprising:
Defense: Matt Gilroy (Atlant) and Nikita Shchitov (HC Sochi); Offense: Dmitry Kagarlitsky (Severstal), Sergei Plotnikov (Lokomotiv) and Andre Petersson (HC Sochi).
Defense: Erik Gustafsson (Avangard) and Mike Lundin (Barys); Offense: Justin Azevedo (Ak Bars), Nikita Gusev (Ugra) and Yury Petrov (Lada).
