Players of the Week 9

To mark the end of the ninth week’s play of the seventh season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories. 

– Best goaltender of the week was Konstantin Barulin (Avangard), with two shutouts in four games, a goals against average of 0.50and a save percentage of 98.13; 

– Best defenseman was Nikita Shchitov (HC Sochi), with 4 points (2+2) from three outings and a +3; 

– Best forward for the second time this season was Danis Zaripov (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), who recorded 5 points (3+2) in two games; 

– Best rookie, also for the second time this season, was 20-year-old Admiral netminder Ivan Nalimov, who made three appearances and finished the week with a %Sv of 93.90 and a GAA of 1.90.
