Players of the Week 5
To mark the end of the fifth week’s play of the seventh season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.
– Best goaltender of the week was Vitaly Koval (Salavat Yulaev), with two shutouts in three games, a goals against average of 0. 33 and a save percentage of 98.82;
– Best defenseman was Artyom Zemchyonok (Admiral), with 2 points (1+1) from three outings and a +5;
– Best forward was Alexander Radulov (CSKA), who in three games added 5 goals (including 3 game-winners) and 2 assists to his account, meriting a +3 for the week;
– Best rookie was 21-year-old Ugra forward Danil Romantsev, who finished the week with 3 points (2+1) and a +3 from three appearances.
