Players of the Week 2

To mark the end of the second week’s play of the seventh season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.

– Best goaltender of the week was Riku Helenius (Jokerit), who in two games recorded two wins, one shutout, a goals against average of 0.5 and a save percentage of 98.39;

– Best defenseman was Yaroslav Dyblenko (Atlant), with two points (2+0) from two outings and a +3;

– Best forward was Sergei Shirokov (Avangard), with a haul of 8 points (5+3) from three games;

– Best rookie was 19-year-old Vityaz attacker Nikita Shatsky, who scored two goals in three games.
