Players of the Week 20: Stepanek, Kutuzov, Yunkov & Smurov

To mark the end of the twentieth week’s play of the sixth season of the KHL Championship, the League has rewarded the best players of the week in four categories: 

– Best goaltender was Jakub Stepanek (Severstal), who played in two games, finishing the week with one shutout, SV% .9804 and GAA 0.48; 

– Best defenseman was Alexander Kutuzov (Sibir), with three assists in two appearances and a rating for the week of +2; 

– Best forward was Alexander Yunkov (Amur), with 4 points (3+1) from two games; 

– Best rookie was 20-year-old Amur forward Sergei Smurov, thanks to a goal and an assist in two outings.
