Players of the Week 16: Ivannikov, Zubarev, Panarin & Sorokin

To mark the end of the sixteenth week’s play of the sixth season of the KHL Championship, the League has rewarded the best players of the week in four categories:

– Best goaltender was Evgeny Ivannikov (Admiral), who in two games recorded two wins, one shutout, a save percentage of 93.90 and a goals against average of 1.92;

– Best defenseman was Andrei Zubarev (Salavat Yulaev), who took 3 points (1+2) from two outings and finished the week at a +3;

– Best forward was Artemy Panarin (SKA), who scored five goals just two appearances and merited a +3 for the week;

– Best rookie for the second time this season was 18-year-old Metallurg Novokuznetsk goalie Ilya Sorokin, with a SV% of .974 and a GAA of 0.72 from two games.
