Players of the Week 14: Koshechkin, Lee, Kaspar & Bjorkstrand

To mark the end of the fourteenth week’s play of the sixth season of the KHL Championship, the League has rewarded the best players of the week in four categories:

– Best goaltender for the second time this season was Vasily Koshechkin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), thanks to two shut-outs in two appearances;

– Best defenseman, also for the second time, was Chris Lee (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), who played in two games, both victories, earning 3 points (two game-winning goals and one assist) and an efficiency rating of +3;

– Best forward was Lukas Kaspar (Donbass), with 5 points (3+2) from three outings;

– Best rookie was another previous winner, Medvescak forward Patrick Bjorkstrand who recorded 2 points (one game-winner and one assist) and averaged 10 minutes 44 seconds of ice time in his two games.
