Players of the Week 10: Koshechkin, Berezin, Kovar & Zharkov

To mark the end of the ninth week’s play of the sixth season of the KHL Championship, the League has rewarded the best players of the week in four categories:

– Best goaltender was Vasily Koshechkin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), thanks to two shut-outs in three appearances, a save percentage of 98.99 and a goals against average of 0.33;

– Best defenseman was Maxim Berezin (Neftekhimik), who took 3 points (2+1) from three games and finished the week at a +3;

– Best forward was Jan Kovar (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), with an impressive haul of 7 points (2+5) from three outings;

– Best rookie was Torpedo’s 19-year-old forward, Daniil Zharkov, who scored the winning goal for his team on the road at Nizhnekamsk.
