In the 38th minute of Sunday’s game in Chelyabinsk between Traktor and Lokomotiv, home defenseman Dmitry Ryabykin was given two minutes in the penalty box for kneeing Yaroslavl forward Mikelis Redlihs. The KHL Disciplinary Committee reviewed the incident and upgraded the foul to one of attempting to injure an opponent by kneeing, for which Ryabykin receives a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) and a two-game ban.
