In the 36th minute of Sunday’s game in Moscow between Spartak and Neftekhimik, Spartak forward Nikolai Bushuyev received a match penalty (25 minutes) for intentionally touching the referee with his stick.

Having reviewed the incident, the KHL Disciplinary Committee has upheld the referee’s decision and imposed on Nikolai Bushuyev a mandatory two-game ban.

Another player receiving an automatic ban is Barys forward Konstantin Pushkaryov, who must miss one game after picking up his second five-minute penalty for fighting during Sunday’s game against Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
