Playboy magazine has hosted a gala evening in Moscow to name the Playmate of the Year, and the winner was KHL-TV’s presenter, Maria Titova.
The ceremony took place of the 5th of July at one of Moscow’s nightclubs and was attended by friends and partners of the famous magazine, including the elite of the social, commercial and cultural spheres, political heavyweights and stars from the world of show business. The Playmate of the Month award is one of the publication’s oldest traditions, and the winner is selected by the editorial staff, but the far more coveted Playmate of the Year award – the brainchild of the magazine’s founder, Hugh Hefner – is a title bestowed on the lady who is voted the best by the magazine’s readership. And this time, they chose the KHL’s own Maria Titova.
“It is very exciting and it’s a great honor for me to be here on this stage,” said a triumphant Maria, when the MC asked for her thoughts. “I never expected to win such an award and now I’m a very happy lady. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the readers of Playboy who voted for me. But I’m sure I would not have won this prize if two years back I had not been lucky enough to become part of a very friendly hockey team, the Kontinental Hockey League. Thank you to all those who gave me the chance to prove myself, who believed in me and who set me on the right course in life. I know in our team they do this not just out of duty but out of the goodness of their hearts.”
The Kontinental Hockey League congratulates Maria Titova on this success and wishes her many more victories, both on the TV screen and in real life!
