During Game 4 and Game 6 of the Western Conference semi-final series between Atlant and SKA on the 19th and 23rd of March 2012, a number of violations of the Kontinental Hockey League Technical Regulations were reported. Both games were played at Atlant’s home arena in Mytishchi, Moscow Region.
- At both games spectators threw foreign objects onto the playing surface. The club had previously been warned more than once for similar breaches of the rules and had also incurred disciplinary sanctions. In accordance with the KHL Disciplinary Regulations, the home team is held responsible for failing to control its supporters and to prevent missiles from being thrown, and therefore a fine is imposed on Atlant.
- At Game 6 of the series some Atlant supporters unfurled a banner on which was displayed an offensive message concerning the visitors’ head coach. In addition, during both the aforementioned games some Atlant supporters were guilty of obscene, offensive and provocative chanting directed at the opposing team and some of its representatives. Atlant has also been previously warned on more than one occasion concerning similar incidents, and so in accordance with the KHL Disciplinary Regulations the club is to be fined for failing to prevent obscene chants and the display of offensive banners.
