With the conclusion of the first stage of the play-offs, the conference quarter-finals, the KHL has named the best players of the round in four categories.
- The title of best goaltender is awarded to Dimitrij Kotschnew (Spartak). He was on the winning side in three of his four play-off games, kept two clean sheets, conceded an average of just 1.43 goals per game and saved 95.2% of all shots., Kotschnew’s unbeaten spell in goal during the series against Dynamo Moscow stretched to 110 minutes and 11 seconds.
- The title of best defenseman is awarded to Miroslav Blatak (Salavat Yulaev). Miroslav featured in four games, claimed three goals (including one game-winner) and one assist, and merited an efficiency rating of «+4.
- The title of best attacker is awarded to Martin Kariya (Dinamo Riga, pictured). Riga’s Canadian forward played four games, scoring three goals (two of which secured victory for his team) and supplying the assists for two more, earning himself a rating of +2.
- The title of best rookie is awarded to Konstantin Plaksin (Traktor). In his four games he set up one goal, achieved a rating of +2, and spent an average of 26 minutes 36 seconds on the ice.
