The third month of the KHL championship has come and gone, and the League has named the top players for November in four categories.
— The best goaltender of the month was awarded to Georgy Gelashvili (Lokomotiv). The Yaroslavl goalie played nine matches in November, two of them clean sheets, conceded an average 2.25 goals per game and saved 92.5% of shots on his goal.
— The best defenseman of the month is Sergei Zubov (SKA, in photo, left). Sergei collected 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) from nine games, and achieved an efficiency rating of +6.
— The best attacker of the month is Maxim Sushinsky (SKA, in photo, right). Amassed 16 points (7 goals, 9 assists) from his nine matches. Two of Sushinsky’s seven successful strikes were winning goals, and his efficiency rating for November is +9.
— The best newcomer (a player born in 1987 or later, who has played no more than 20 top-level matches in previous national tournaments) of the month is Nikita Filatov (CSKA). The young forward played five matches in November, earned himself 9 points (5 goals, 4 assists) and a rating of +7. Three of Filatov’s goals turned out to be winners.
