On the completion of the tenth week of the KHL Championship, the League has named those it has judged the best players of the week in four categories.
The title of best goaltender is awarded to Ivan Lisutin of Avtomobilist. In a week guarding the Yekaterinburg club’s goal he played three matches, winning two (keeping a clean sheet in one), with an average of only 2.3 goals conceded per game, and saved 92.7% of shots. In the course of the week Lisutin put together an impressive spell of 73 minutes 22 seconds without conceding a goal.
The title of best defenseman is awarded to Nikolai Belov, the 22-year-old Neftekhimik defender, who in the course of this season was once named best rookie of the week. In three matches he has merited a +5, better than any other defenseman. Belov made one assist, and his team won all three of their matches.
The title of best attacker is awarded to Branko Radivojevic of Spartak (pictured). In his three matches the Slovak forward amassed 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists), making him the highest scorer of the week, and achieved a +3.
The title of best rookie is awarded to 19-year-old Dinamo Riga forward Roberts Bukarts. In three matches he added two goals and a +1 to his account, and Bukarts spent an average of 7 minutes 50 seconds on the ice.
