Danis Zaripov, four-time Gagarin Cup winner and three-time World Champion, has agreed a two-year contract with Ak Bars, the team with whom he won his first two KHL Championships (in 2009 and 2010). The 36-year-old winger spent 12 years with the Kazan team before moving in 2013 to Magnitogorsk, where he repeated his success with Metallurg, lifting the Gagarin Cup in 2014 and 2016.

Much-traveled defenseman Andrei Konev, 28, is back at Admiral on a tryout contract until the 21st of December, Should he get any ice time, he will have appeared in every season of the KHL, having also played for Traktor, Lokomotiv, Salavat Yulaev, Donbass, Sibir and Severstal
Spartak has welcomed back experienced center Oleg Gubin, who spent three years with the Red-and-Whites from 2010-2013, on a two-way contract which runs until the end of the current season. The 36-year-old is a another veteran of all ten KHL Championships, having also worn the colors of Severstal, Sibir, Avtomobilist, and most recently, Amur.
