The Kontinental Hockey League is pleased to announce that the official website for the 2016 All-Star Game is already up and running. You can now keep up to date with all the news of the season’s biggest hockey show, and from Thursday, the 10th of December, you can vote to select your favorite players for the Team East and Team West starting lines.

The 2016 KHL All-Star Game will be held on Saturday, the 23rd of January, at Moscow’s VTB Ice Palace, which in May of next year will star as the main arena for the 2016 IIHF World Championship. On the new All-Star Game website you can find a detailed program of all the events, as well as photo and video chronicles of all seven previous All-Star Games. Preparations for the classic contest are entering a crucial stage, and as soon as the 10th of this month, the most fascinating part for the fans gets underway – the vote for the starting lines.

The current KHL Championship is already a remarkable one, with many unexpected results and a host of new and exciting players who have already made a huge impact on the season. It follows that the starting lines chosen for Teams East and West will be full of surprises, and maybe several of the players selected as the League’s finest players will be making their All-Star Game debuts.

The Master Show Super Skills contest has long been a key part of the KHL All-Star Game program and has given us some of the brightest moments in recent years. Few could forget, for example, Alexander Ryazantsev’s mighty 183.67 km/h strike to win the Hardest Shot competition in Riga 2012.

One of the most memorable moments of Chelyabinsk 2013 was the dancing on ice, with the unexpected participation of the team captains, Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexey Morozov.

And Sochi 2015 was brilliantly illuminated by the sublime shootout goal from Nikita Gusev.

At Moscow 2016 the fans expectation levels will rise once more as they wait in anticipation for the Master Show Super Skills contest and the main event - the match-up between the finest stars of the Eastern and Western Conferences. And this week, on the KHL All-Star Game official website, the sale of tickets will soon begin. More ticket news will be released shortly, so make sure you keep up-to-date with all the news of the 2016 KHL All-Star Game, and get ready with us!
