September’s finest: Murygin, Robinson, Mozyakin and Manukhov

– Best goaltender was Alexei Murygin (Lokomotiv), who in five games recorded four shutouts, a goals against average of 0.40 and a save percentage of 98.04. Murygin has not allowed a goal for 266 minutes 10 seconds, setting a new League record for the longest shutout series; 

– Best defenseman was Mat Robinson (Dynamo Moscow), with a haul of 11 points (6+5) from 11 outings and a +6. Robinson averaged 23 minutes 38 seconds of ice time, and his points total included a game-winning goal and a double; 

– Best forward was Sergei Mozyakin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), who made 11 appearances and recorded 16 points (9+7), including one hat-trick, one double and two game-winners. Mozyakin is currently the League’s top scorer; 

– Best rookie was 21-year-old Metallurg Novokuznetsk defenseman Roman Manukhov, who played in 13 games and ended the month with 5 points (0+5), a +4 and an average ice time of 18 minutes 33 seconds.
