Berdyukov banned for 2 games

In the 31st minute of Saturday’s game in Moscow Region between Vityaz and Traktor, home defenseman Georgy Berdyukov received a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for boarding following a hit on Chelyabinsk forward Artyom Penkovsky. After reviewing the incident, the KHL Disciplinary Committee has upheld the referee’s decision and has suspended Georgy Berdyukov for two games.
