Players of the Week 7

To mark the end of the seventh week’s play of the seventh season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories. 

– Best goaltender of the week was Tomas Popperle (HC Sochi), who in three games recorded two shutouts, a goals against average of 0.83 and a save percentage of 97.65; 

– Best defenseman was Mathias Porseland (Vityaz), with 4 points (1+3) from three outings and a +5; 

– Best forward was Steve Moses (Jokerit), with 5 goals and 4 assists in three games;

– Best rookie was 20-year-old Admiral goaltender Ivan Nalimov, who made two appearances and finished the week with one shutout, a GAA of 0.60 and a %Sv of 98.18.
