The first month of the KHL championship has come and gone, and the League has named the top players for November in four categories.
- Best goaltender of the month went to Bernd Bruckler (Torpedo). The goalie for Nizhny Novgorod played in eight games in September, five of which his team won. Bruckler finished one game with no scores allowed, letting in an average of 1.73 goals per game and saving 93.9 percent of shots on his net;
- Best defenseman of the month went to Sandis Ozolins (Dinamo Riga). The team's leader played in 10 games in September, scoring 10 points (one goal and nine assists) and finishing the month at +3;
- Best forward of September went to Denis Platonov (Metallurg Magnitogorsk, pictured), who scored nine goals in eight games (including two game winners) and had an assist to finish the month at +7;
- Best rookie of the month (born in 1988 or later and having played no more than 20 games in previous seasons in the country's top hockey league) went to Metallurg Magnitogorsk defenseman Yaroslav Khabarov, who played six games and finished the month at +6
